Tewkesbury is shaped by water. The county council approves the crossing and an approved contractor builds it. In the historic centre and conservation area, sightlines and the footway surface get extra attention, and some frontages are refused.
It affects the build more than the rules. A permeable surface over an open-graded sub-base holds rainfall and drains slowly, which is what you want here. Solid surfaces that shed water towards the road or house are the wrong choice.
Three to four days for a single, four to six for a double. Add a day where the sub-base has to go deeper because the ground stays wet.
